SMART Status Suggestions on moving portable boards to various campuses was discussed The goal is to "standardize" the campuses with one type of interactive whiteboard Concerns were that only core content teachers will receive boards.
SMART Training Ideas
Tier teachers into training groups
Ask administration input on training
Suggestions for training groups: 2-3 subs and rotate throughout the day in 2 hours sessions.
Majority agreed that hiring subs to rotate through the school day would be a good plan High School and Middle School may have a modified version of that schedule due to bell schedule Suggestions were made to reduce the amount of time from 2 hours to 1 hour for professional development

District Technology Inventory Process
Projector Bulbs Requested the ITTs send # of bulbs that need to be replaced along with projector model Mr. Chilton informed us that some of the time it has been the bulb and other times it had been the projector. Ms. Ohren had found an quote for her projector bulbs and Shiller's matched/beat the price
Installing Software On Campus Computers Everyone agreed that passwords were a concern. Ms. Boykin mentioned modifying/limiting permissions for the summer school staff who took on the role of ITT
SISK12 Status Mr. Herrera is looking at having Sheryl Perry train him to be a contact person for SISK12
Study Island Status Still working out the details on subscription Current Subscription Status Below Jefferson Elem: 2nd – 6th, Math, CA and Science( in 5th grade only.) Renewal date is 1/01/2011. Lucas Crossing Elem: 2nd – 6th, Math, CA and Science( in 5th grade only.) Renewal date is 1/25/2011 Pine Lawn Elem: 2nd – 6th, Math, CA and Science( in 5th grade only) Soc. Stud (in 4th only.) Acuity Status Teachers have access, but have not formally been told. We are waiting to talk with the Curriculum Dept on when they want to roll out Acuity
Waterford Status/SuccessMaker Status Tech Dept is looking at Sept 20 for install Various issues regarding Waterford Pine Lawn - Waterford is not working correctly - possibly caused by server change over Washington - Waterford is just not working at all Garfield - Questions regarding a dedicated Waterford Computer Lab Initiative
Other Concerns: Will ITT's receive compensation for attending after school training? Mr. Herrera will look into funding sources mentioned my Ms. Davis-Edwards - EPED? Will Administrators provide support with the integration of of technology and professional development on their campuses? Previously, ITT's attended training and there was no follow through on implementation of what was learned. How will we know the students are benefiting from the use of technology? All ITT's should attend professional development over the same resources. Each campus should not be in isolation. ITT meetings could be held during the school day. Arrangements can be made for ITT's to attend.
